McHenry & Norton Named All-MIAA

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Becka McHenry was named to her second straight all-MIAA Women's Basketball team and sophomore Allie Norton was an honorable mention all-league selection as the conference released the coaches picks for the 2012-13 season.

McHenry was a second team choice while leading the Bulldogs in scoring, rebounding and assists per game. She has scored in double-figures in 21 of the 26 games played while averaging 12.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. She will finish her Bulldog career in the top five all-time in assists and top 15 in rebounding and scoring. McHenry is just the second Bulldog player to score over 1,100 points, grab over 400 rebounds and dish out over 300 assists.

Norton is one of the nation's top three-point shooters as she has knocked down a school single-season record 46.3% of her triple attempts. Her 68 three's is within eight of the Bulldog record for a season while her career three-point shooting percentage is nearly 44%. Norton has been the team's leading scorer in nine games this season and topped 20 points on two occasions. She averages 11.2 points per game and has made 38-of-42 (90.5%) from the free throw line.
