Women's Tennis Drops Two Road Matches

EDMOND, Okla. – The Truman Women's Tennis team fell in a pair of conference matches over the weekend to the University of Central Oklahoma and Northeastern (Okla.) State University. The Bulldogs are back on the road Wednesday at Quincy (Ill.) University.
 
Both UCO and NSU were ranked nationally with the Bronchos 39th and the Riverhawks were just ahead at 37.

The Central Oklahoma Bronchos swept through the doubles matches winning 8-2, 8-3 and 8-4 then each UCO player recorded straight set wins during the singles portion of the meet.

Against NSU, the Riverhawks ran the table in all nine matches taking all three doubles by scores of 8-3, 8-0, and 8-0 and the six singles in straight sets.
 
Truman falls to 4-5 on the season and 1-5 in the conference while the Bronchos improve to 14-2 overall.  UCO was ranked 39th in Division II by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and third in the first set of NCAA regional rankings.
