Men's Basketball
The team will close out their pre Christmas slate with a home game against Central Christian on Saturday afternoon after two hard fought games against GLVC opponents Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville this past week. Against the Tritons Masen Miller hit an unforgettable three at the buzzer to lift the Bulldogs to a 72-71 win, and against the Saints TSU overcame a slow start with a 20-0 run in the first half to seize control of the game from that point on.
Â
Truman has played against Central Christian College of the Bible ten times, winning each meeting against the NCCAA school from Moberly. The last meeting between the two was in 2018, which Truman won handily.
Â
Cade McKnight is still leading the team with 20.9 points per game and has risen to second on the team with 6.4 rebounds per game; second only to Elijah Hazekamp's 6.8. Hunter Strait leads the team with just under five assists per game, while McKnight and Sam Lock are tied for the team lead with four steals and Dylan Peeters and Eric Northweather are tied with five blocked shots.
Â
Overall the team has made 82 threes on the season, over ten per game. Miller leads the team with 25, while Hazekamp is second with 17 and McKnight third with 13. Miller is second on the team with 12.5 points per game, while Hazekamp also averages double figures with 11.1.Â
