Truman Women's basketball kicks off 2023 with a non-conference game against William Woods University (Mo.) on Monday, January 2nd, at 3 p.m. They follow that up with a GLVC contest against Quincy on Thursday, January 5th, at 5:15 p.m.

The Bulldogs last played in the Florida Southern Christmas Classic where they beat Florida Southern 81-64 and lost to Eckerd 91-61.

Hannah Belanger scored 25 against Florida Southern in the win. Ellie Weltha scored 20 of her own and Gracie Stugart reached double-digits with 10.

Weltha and Belanger led the scoring once again against Eckerd, with Weltha dropping 18 with 12 rebounds, and Belanger scoring 14.

Truman Men's basketball resumes GLVC play against Quincy on Thursday, January 5th, at 7:30 p.m.

Truman returned from Christmas break with a game against Culver-Stockton on New Years Eve where the Bulldogs won 77-47.

The Bulldogs went into the half with a big lead, up 43-25 over Culver-Stockton.

Truman had another dominant half in the second, adding another 34 points to reach 77, holding Culver-Stockton to only 22 in the half.

Trey Shearer had a remarkable performance, putting up 17 points on 6-6 shooting. Shearer hit all five of this 3-point attempts, and added an assist and a rebound to the stat sheet as well.

Elijah Hazekamp was second in scoring with 13 on 5-11 shooting and three 3’s.

CE Talton dropped eight points on 4-5 shooting, followed by Xavier Hall and Hunter Strait with seven each, then Dylan Peeters, Nduka Ogwu, and Bradley Andrews each scored six. Devin Fields scored five points and Caleb Schlaak got a bucket in the game as well.

Peeters added five assists and four rebounds to his six points.
