The Bulldogs head back to Pella, Iowa for the Dutch Winter Multis on the campus of Central College.

Last week, Truman State competed in the Coach Alsup Open at Northwest Missouri State University where All-American Jacob Morris took silver in the Men's weight throw and Addie Mathis won bronze in the Women's mile.

Lexy Henrikson, Kelly Hoskins, and the Women's 4x400 also finished top-five.

Truman State Women's basketball is coming off a 1-1 week where the Bulldogs defeated Southwest Baptist 99-75 and fell 92-82 to 13-win Drury. This week, Truman plays Rockhurst and William Jewell on the road.

Against SBU, five Bulldogs scored double-digit points in the win, with Claire Rake scoring a career-high 23 points. Rake shot 8-16 from the field and 7-15 from three. Bailey Kliewer also had 19 points on 8-12 shooting. Maddie Niemeier had a fantastic performance, scoring 10 along with 11 rebounds and six assists, both being game-highs.

In the loss against Drury, four Truman players had double-digit points. Molly Joyce led the team with 24 on 9-14 shooting. Ellie Weltha was right behind with 22 points with 10 rebounds to record a double-double. Gracie Neff also had a double-double, scoring 13 with 10 assists.

The Rockhurst Hawks are 9-6 overall and 6-5 in conference play. Their leading scorer is Macie Conway, who averages 12.2 points per game.

William Jewell is 4-13 on the year and 2-9 in the GLVC. Ayden Shannon leads the Cardinals in scoring, putting up 16.9 per game.

Truman State Men's basketball played SBU and Drury last week, where the Bulldogs won both games to extend their winning streak to three games. This week, Truman plays Rockhurst and William Jewell away from Kirksville.

Against SBU, most of the first-half of the game was close before a three from Kobi Williams, a layup from Joe Knutson, and a layup from Williams put the Bulldogs up 37-29 with 0:45 left in the half. The Bearcats hit two free throws with 0:30 left to go into the break trailing by six. The Bulldogs got off to a blazing start in the second-half, going on an 8-0 run after SBU cut the lead to four. Truman State would not let the Bearcats back in the game, playing excellent defense and consistently hitting shots. The Bulldogs truly pulled away with 5:50 left in the game, going up 20 after an Xavier Hall three. Truman only increased their lead by the end of the game, winning 84-58 to earn another GLVC win. Trey Shearer had a hot hand for Truman, dropping 24 points on 6-10 shooting from three. Kobi Williams had 19 points along with five rebounds, three assists, a block, and two steals.

Against Drury, the Bulldogs got out to a 15-2 lead over the Panthers with 13:46 left in the first-half. Truman’s lead was double-digits with 3:27 left, but Drury made their way back into the game and cut the lead to one going into the half. Truman went up 50-42 with 12:54 left in the game, and kept a lead until the 6:39 mark when Drury tied it up. With the game tied 63-63, Casen Lawrence hit a massive 3-pointer with 0:48 left to take a 66-63 lead. Kobi Williams and Trey Shearer both hit free throws late to ice the game, taking home a five-point win. Matt Haefner had a monster game, scoring a career-high 20 point on 8-11 shooting. Haefner went 4-6 from three and and had eight rebounds and a block. Kobi Williams had another double-digit scoring game, dropping 13 on 2-7 shooting from the field. Williams got eight of the points from the free throw line, going 8-12. He also had seven boards, one assist, one block, and one steal.

Rockhurst is 8-9 overall and 4-5 in the GLVC. The Hawks' leading scorer is Timaris Brown, who averages 15.2 a game

William Jewell is a solid 11-6 and 5-4 in conference games this year. Jordan Jermain and Kobe McKinley both average 16.2 points per game which leads the team.
