KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State Athletics once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence as multiple Bulldogs were named recipients of the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the conference on Thursday.
The GLVC recognized a record 635 student-athletes across its membership, surpassing last year's total and continuing the league's upward trend in academic achievement.

Each student-athlete may receive the honor only once, making it one of the conference's highest academic distinctions.
Among the honorees, eight Truman State student-athletes were further recognized for achieving a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA to conclude their collegiate careers. These Bulldogs represent the highest level of academic success across the conference:
- Joshua Engle – Men's Cross Country/Track & Field (Mathematics)

- Greta Hanson – Women's Soccer (Biology–POPT)
- Taylor Graham – Women's Swimming (Communication Disorders)
- Allison Heaney – Women's Swimming (Nursing)
