Truman
2017-18: What a run for the talented golfer out of Omaha, Nebraska ... in 2017-18 alone, Barmettler placed in a tie for sixth or better in all but one of her 10 events and the exception was the biggest stage of her career at the NCAA East Super Regional ... there, she tied for 16th out of 66 golfers for her second time competing in the event in three years ... took home career tournament titles No. 2 and 3 with a win at Drury's Lady Panther Fall Invitational on Oct. 15-16 (won after two playoff holes) and MIssouri-St. Louis' Spring Invitational on April 7 and 9 ... set new career lows for 18 holes with a 71 in the third round of the GLVC Tournament (April 29) and 36 holes with a 145 at the MIAA Fall Preview (Sept. 24-25) ... for the league tournament, Barmettler's 54-hole score of 222 (73-78-71) was just three strokes out of Indianapolis' Paxton DeHaven in first, was the best three-day score for a Bulldog in GLVC Championship history and was a new low for the senior ... that round-three 71 was also the best round for a Bulldog in postseason history ... prior to that performance, only one player in school history had finished as high as second in a conference championship and that was Jennifer Lawson in both 2010 and 2011 as a member of the MIAA ... putting Barmettler's career into perspective, her decorated history includes three tournament titles, 19 finishes in the top five, 35 placings in the top 20, 48 rounds under 80, and a career stroke average of 78.5 with 6,283 strokes through 80 rounds ... in her four years at Truman, Barmettler competed in a total of 38 events and was among the top-five finishers for half of them ... named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team as selected by CoSIDA ... was already the first player in program history to be named All-GLVC once and made it twice as a senior ... named Academic All-GLVC ... recipient of the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award for finishing eligibility with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
2016-17: Barmettler was once again the team's top golfer for the 2016-17 season as she was the Bulldogs' top finisher in each of the squad's nine events ... in her career, she has now competed in 27 events and has been the highest finisher for Truman in 26 of them including 19 in a row ... her 2016-17 average of 79.1 was just .3 strokes more than the average she turned in as a sophomore at 78.8 ... for her career, Barmettler now has 13 top-five finishes, 25 in the top 20 and 30 total rounds with a score under 80 ... set her new career low round with a 74 in the first round of the William Jewell Fall Tune Up on Sept. 11 in the team's first tournament of the season ... that 74 was one shot better than her previous best ... for that event, Barmettler also set a new personal best for a tournament as she finished with a 149, which beat her old mark by one stroke ... for the 2016-17 season by itself, Barmettler finished in the top five four times and the top 20 seven times while 11 of the 19 rounds she played saw a score under 80 ... her highest finish of the season came in that season-opening tournament at William Jewell in which she placed second, just two strokes behind the winning score ... named the team's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award nominee on May 9 ... named Academic All-GLVC.
2015-16: Showed no signs of a sophomore slump and only built upon the success that she showed her first year on campus ... her average of 78.8 was more than two strokes lower than what she turned in as a freshman (80.9) and she did it with 21 rounds of action ... Barmettler was the team's top finisher in all nine of their regular-season events and including the NCAA East Regional for the 10th event, she had one win, four top-five finishes, seven in the top 15, and all 10 inside the top 20 ... that one tournament win was the first of her career and came in the first event of the season, the William Jewell Fall Tune Up ... she shot a 75 each of those two days, which is her career low for a single round, and she has done that four times (all as a sophomore) ... the other two times she shot a 75 were in round two of the Millikin University Fall Classic and round two of the Lincoln University MIAA Fall Preview ... that William Jewell Fall Tune Up also happened to be Barmettler's career low for a tournament as she handed in a score of 150 ... the Omaha, Neb. native capped her second season as a Bulldog at the NCAA East Regional in a tie for 18th and a three-day score of 236 or +20 (80-76-80) ... that was the school's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2008 ... for her career now, she has landed in the top 20 in 18 of her 19 career events ... was named to the all-GLVC Women's Golf Team and became the first Bulldog to be named all-conference in the three years since Truman joined the GLVC in 2013 ... named all-Academic GLVC.
