  • Had tackles in three games during true-freshman season in the spring.
  • Totaled five stops with two for loss and two quarterback sacks for 17 yards.
High School: Earned first team all-State for Iowa Class four on the defensive side of the ball. Was Class 4, district 3 Defensive Player of the Year and named to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier All-Metro team. Had 58.5 tackles (40 solo, 37 assisted) with 23 for loss and 11.5 sacks during his senior season. In his junior year, he recorded 47 tackles, 14 for loss and three sacks en route to earning second team all-district and all-metro team by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. A four-year member of the school's wrestling team, placing eighth as a junior in Class 3 at the state meet in the 220-pound weight class.
