Biography
Truman: 2010 - Missed just one game in making ten appearances … totaled 13 tackles (seven unassisted) and recorded 2.5 sacks … had a pair of sacks in the season-opener against SJC on Aug. 28 for 13 total yards lost, tying for the Truman game-high for the season … recorded a season-best three tackles against MSSU on Oct. 16, including a half-sack … hurried the QB into a poor throw once against SBU on Sept. 4… member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2009 - Played in all 11 games and earned five starts on the defensive line…had 21 total tackles, including a season-best six against Missouri Western…also picked up 0.5 tackles-for-loss against the MWSU Griffons.
2008 - Was a medical redshirt last season...named to the MIAA?Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Earned all-state honors in both 2005 and 2006 and was a three-time all-conference pick…was a three-year starter on both the offensive and defensive line…was named Elite all-conference following senior season…was a state qualifier in the shot put in 2005.
Personal: Born Feb. 14, 1989 in Daejon, South Korea...son of Sung Kwon and SungHyun Kang, both college professors...an exercise science major.
