Biography
2016 (Sophomore): Starting linebacker with 60 tackles and five for loss and a sack…recorded a season-high 11 stops in finale against McKendree (Nov. 12)…was credited with a forced fumble in victory over Missouri S&T (Sept. 17)…averaged 5.4 tackles per game…named to the GLVC All-Academic team.
2015 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in all 11 games and started the final two…led the Bulldogs with eight tackles for loss totaling 14 yards…had three quarterback sacks for nine yards…blocked a 29-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter against Southwest Baptist on (Oct. 10) to help preserve a 23-14 win over the Bearcats…had a season-high nine tackles with seven solo against Quincy on (Oct. 31)…had one fumble forced against Lincoln and one fumble recovery against William Jewell…recovery came on a punt return that gave Truman the ball at the Cardinals four yard line and set up the first touchdown of the game in a 40-28 win.
2014 (Freshman): Redshirt season.
High School: Set the school record for tackles with a loss with 45 as he had 26 as a senior and 146 total tackles leading the Trojan defense to two Illinois Class 1 title games…the Trojans won the title in 2012 but were defeated in 2013 to finish 12-1…was a three-time all-county first team selection…a two-time all-state pick, with first team honors as a senior and two-time team defensive most valuable player…broke school mark in the bench press at 400 pounds…was also named a first team all-conference kicker…two time academic all-state, senior class president, National Honor Society member and vice-president of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD).
