Biography
2025: Named 1st Team All-GLVC. Baxley started all 12 games, leading the defense with 82 total tackles (57 solo, 25 assists) while adding 1.0 tackle for loss, 1 interception, and 6 pass breakups.
2024: Recorded career-high 52 tackles in 12 games starting the final seven … career-best 10 tackles against McKendree on Oct. 26… interception with a 26-yard return against Saginaw Valley (Mich.) on Sept. 21.
2023: Notched a pair of solo tackles and was credited with a blocked kick against McKendree on September 30…kick was a blocked punt at the Bearcat 35 which eventually led to a Bulldog touchdown and a 28-10 third-quarter lead for Truman State…earned Academic All-GLVC honor roll mention.
2022: Sophomore letter winner with an assisted tackle in season finale against McKendree.
2021: Freshman squad member... Academic All-GLVC honoree.
High School: Baxley led the Eagles in tackles as a senior with 93 and in tackles for loss with eight. He had four games of 10 tackles or more with a high of 15 coming in a playoff loss to Raymore-Pecliar in his final game. Those 93 tackles were good for a school record in tackles in a season. Also added two interceptions, two fumbles forced and one recovery. Finished with over 200 total tackles in 26 varsity games played, 12 tackles for loss and six career INTS. Baxley was named all-state following his senior season and was twice named to the all-district and all-conference teams. He earned the Eagles Defensive Player of the Year award and Liberty North Eagle Pride Award. Baxley is a member of the school's honor roll.
