Biography
2025: Named All-GLVC 1st Team and 2nd Team at linebacker and defensive utility respectively. Weltha led the Bulldogs in total tackles in all 12 games with 94 (50 solo, 44 assists) while adding 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, 4 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.
2023: Named to the All-GLVC team (second team) after finishing the season with 32 tackles, 8.5 for loss and a pair of quarterback sacks…had one fumble forced and two fumble recoveries…had a 17-yard fumble recovery touchdown against Missouri S&T…single-game high was six tackles in overtime win over Quincy…had two TFLs in games against Findlay and Missouri S&T.
2022: A true freshman letter winner who made 24 tackles in 10 games played…had 4.5 tackles for loss equaling 31 yards and 2.5 quarterback sacks for 27 yards…had a forced fumble against SD Mines and four quarterback hurries…one of four true freshman to letter during season.
High School: Weltha started every game on defense for his four years of high school and led the Bloomington Raiders in tackles with 300 for his career. Was named an all-state and all-area linebacker and was the defensive most valuable player at the school. On Bloomington’s wrestling team, Weltha has won over 100 matches. He has been named Academic All-State and Academic All-Conference. His sister Ellie is currently a two-sport standout at Truman on both basketball and softball teams.
