Biography
2025: Gessert handled all punting duties in 12 games, averaging 38.80 yards per punt on 45 attempts with a long of 56 yards, placing 17 punts inside the 20-yard line.
2023: Handled all of the punting duties during the season with 39 boots for 1,315 yards and a 33.6 average…14 of the 37 punts were fair caught and 13 were placed inside the opponents’ 20 yardline., including three of his four against Quincy in an overtime win…longest punt was 46 yards in the season finale against Missouri S&T…was also the team’s holder on field goals and extra points…earned Academic All-GLVC honors.
2022: Freshman squad member, redshirt season.
High School: Gessert scored over 200 points as a kicker to set a new Troy Buchanan school record. He tallied 218 points to become the seventh Missouri kicker to achieve 200 points or more. Gessert was 173 of 184 on point-after attempts and converted on 13-of-16 career field goal tries. He averaged 43.6 yards on kickoffs as the Trojans went 10-3 before falling in the MIssouri Class 6 semifinals to Liberty North 35-21. Gessert was a scholar-athlete all four years and an Academic All-Conference honoree.
