Biography
2025: Copeland played in all 12 games, catching 7 passes for 43 yards (6.14 avg) and 1 touchdown while recording 4 total tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) on defense.
2023: Made 14 catches for 157 yards with a long of 29 in a game at McKendree…single-game highs were four catches for 35 yards in the overtime thriller over Quincy…averaged 11.2 yards per catch…had receptions in seven of the 11 games played in.
2022: Sophomore letter winner who made three receptions for 22 yards during the season…two of the three came against Hillsdale (Mich.) for 14 yards.
2021: Freshman squad member
High School: Copeland accumulated over 2200 receiving yards on 200 career catches for Kirksville High. He broke school records in catches and yards for a season with 92 and 1,213 in 2019. Among that total was a 15-reception, 257 yards game against Hannibal High School that was played at Stokes Stadium and was the most receiving yards by a player at the facility. Copeland was the 2020 Kirksville Daily Express Player of the Year, named all-state his junior year and all district and all-conference in both junior and seniors campaigns. He owns the Kirksville High basketball rebounding record with over 700 and has scored over 1,000 points. His father Matt was an All-American tight-end for the Bulldogs in 1995, academic all-district selection, two-time all-MIAA performer and was the associate head coach/offensive coordinator for the Bulldogs for seven seasons after his playing career.
