RECAP: Heartbreaker For Bulldogs On Friday

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -  Polly Marino hammered home a game winning goal with 35 seconds left in regulation to give the Bellarmine Knights a 1-0 victory over the Truman Bulldogs on Friday afternoon.

In a contest that was evenly played through the first 89 minutes, a failed clearing attempt by the Bulldogs resulted in a scrum in from of the Truman goal. Marino buried it past Katie Mattingly into the left side of the net to give the Knights the road win over the Bulldogs.

Paige Peterson, Hanna Hickey and Kacie Truman had the shots on goal for the Bulldogs who fall to 4-5-4 overall and 4-4-3 in the conference.

Up until that point in the match each team had six shots on apiece with three on net.

The Bulldogs will host the University of Indianapolis for Senior Day on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
