RECAP: Third Straight Win For Truman Women's Soccer

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Truman Women's Soccer team continued their winning ways with their third straight shutout in a 3-0 victory over the Drury Lady Panthers on Friday night.
 
The Bulldogs scored two first half goals to take control of the match. Jen Seithel was awarded and converted on a penalty in the 34th minute for her first goal of the season and Chance Douglass tallied her first collegiate goal on a long lead pass by Paige Peterson with five minutes before the end of the first half.
 
With 1:15 left to play, Seithel scored again as Hanna Liljegren centered a pass in for the assist.
 
The Bulldogs controlled play with an 11-5 advantage on shots and Katie Mattingly made only one save for the shutout.  Truman improves to 3-2-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the GLVC and have scored eight goals in the last three matches.
 
The Bulldogs will head to Missouri S&T on Sunday. The Lady Miners pushed conference leader Quincy on Friday night before falling 3-2.
