RECAP: Bulldogs Bounce Back With Dominating Win 100 For Amy Eagan

Box Score (HTML)

INDIANAPOLIS – Sloane Totta scored a career high 20 points and Head Coach Amy Eagan notched Truman victory 100 as the Bulldogs bounced back following Thursday's loss with a 73-51 wire-to-wire win over the University of Indianapolis.

Totta was a perfect 8-of-8 from the field with two triples and two free throws in securing her first 20-point collegiate game.  Freshman Mackenzie Bray made her first start of the season and scored 10 points to join Totta in double figures.

The 24th ranked Bulldogs (12-2; 3-1 GLVC) raced out to an early 6-0 lead before the Greyhounds (6-7; 0-3 GLVC) scored the next five. That would be as close as Indianapolis would come as Truman went on a 22-10 run over the next eight plus minutes to lead by 13 at 28-15. Truman finished the half on a 15-9 spurt and held a 43-24 advantage at the half.  Key to the second quarter push was six points each from Maya Mouton and Katey Klucking off the bench.

The second half was much the same with Truman swelling the lead to as many as 26 points.

Truman nabbed 11 steals and turned the Greyhounds over 22 times while shooting 42% from the field, 36% from the arc and 68% from the line.

Eagan ties Mary Jo Murray atop the Bulldog career coaching wins list with her 100th. Murray was 100-80 in seven seasons from 1976-83.

Truman will attempt to give each the record when they next play at the University of Southern Indiana on Thursday night in Evansville, Indiana.
