KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State Men's basketball handled Culver-Stockton 77-47 on New Year's Eve.
The Bulldogs went into the half with a big lead, up 43-25 over the Wildcats.
Truman had another dominant half in the second, adding another 34 points to reach 77, holding Culver-Stockton to only 22 in the half.
Trey Shearer had a remarkable performance, putting up 17 points on 6-6 shooting. Shearer hit all five of this 3-point attempts, and added an assist and a rebound to the stat sheet as well.
Elijah Hazekamp was second in scoring with 13 on 5-11 shooting and three 3's.
CE Talton dropped eight points on 4-5 shooting, followed by Xavier Hall and Hunter Strait with seven each, then Dylan Peeters, Nduka Ogwu, and Bradley Andrews each scored six. Devin Fields scored five points and Caleb Schlaak got a bucket in the game as well.
Peeters added five assists and four rebounds to his six points.
Truman plays Quincy next on Thursday, January 5th, at 7:30 p.m.
