SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Truman State Women's basketball fell to No. 3 Drury University 80-63 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs went into the half down four, 36-32. Truman held a 31-30 lead with 2:55 left in the half, and their last lead was with 8:30 in the third quarter when they led Drury 37-36. Drury went on a 28-15 to take a 64-50 lead in the third quarter, and the Panthers ended up winning by 17.
Hannah Belanger and Ellie Weltha were Truman's only double-digit scorers. Belanger had 18 with four rebounds and three assists. Weltha dropped 16 on 7-9 shooting, along with seven rebounds.
Alex Fanning had nine points with 10 rebounds, and Gracie Stugart had four assists with five steals.
The Bulldogs are 13-6 on the year, and are now 9-2 in GLVC play.
Truman plays next on Thursday, January 26th, against Maryville in Pershing Arena.
