KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The #13 Indianapolis Greyhounds took advantage of Truman's mistakes and upended the #19 Bulldogs 38-17 to take control of the Great Lakes Valley Conference title race. Truman State will host William Jewell next Saturday for Homecoming.
The Bulldogs took the opening possession and drove down to the UINDY 18 but an underthrown pass by
Nolan Hair was picked off Landry Mavungu and returned out to the 20. The Greyhounds swept down the field in seven plays to take the early lead.
Truman tied the game after
Denim Cook busted a 59-yard run back to the Greyhounds' 18 and
Tim Johnson Jr. brought it home on the next play with his longest rush of the season.
UNIDY retook the lead on their next drive with quarterback Gavin Sukup completing a four-yard pass to Cobi Cook early in the second quarter.
Truman answered right back with Johnson again rushing for 23 yards to set up the Bulldogs at the 11. Two plays later, Hair found

The Bulldogs missed a field goal late in the quarter and UINDY took a 21-14 lead into the locker room.
The Greyhounds had the first possession of the second half, but Truman made them settle for a field goal after Sukup found Anthony Crowell for a 25-yard pass on a third and long.
Later in the quarter, Hair tried to extend a third down play but the ball was jarred loose and recovered by Khoreice Crawford near midfield. That turnover resulted in a six-yard touchdown run by Jon Lewis.
The Bulldogs turned the ball over on downs early in the fourth after Cook scampered for another long run of 48 yards to the UINDY 15.
Following a short punt, Truman started a drive inside the UINDY 40 with 11 minutes to play and managed to cut the deficit down two possessions following a 23-yard field goal from Ross to make it 31-17 with 6:31 left.
The Bulldogs got the stop needed but KJ Rouderbush stepped in front of a Hair pass at the 50 and took it down to the two-yard line that set up the final Greyhounds touchdown.
Truman State was 3-of-7 in red zone chances while UINDY converted on all four of their trips. Hair was 15-of-32 for 165 yards with
