KIRKSVILLE, Mo. –
Rachel Rhode, who had assisted Truman State Softball for the past two years, was named the head softball coach at Northeastern (Okla.) State University.
"I am very proud of Rachel and excited to see what she can do with this new opportunity," said Truman State Head Coach
Ron Ferrill. "Rachel did an outstanding job here at Truman State both working with our pitching staff and being an assistant coach in general. This is not only a great opportunity for her, but a great hire for Northeastern State University. Rachel will be a great role model for their softball players and do a great job continuing the winning tradition that NSU has come to expect under Coach Davis."
Rhode started at Truman in the fall of 2021 and was apart of two Bulldog seasons. She had previously served as an assistant coach at Bemidji (Minn.) State and was a graduate of Union (Ky.) College where she was the 2017 Appalachian Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year.
A search to replace Coach Rhode will begin soon.
