KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Truman State Women's basketball suffered a setback at Rockhurst, falling 53-44.
The Bulldogs were behind 45-30 early in the fourth quarter, and were able to cut Rockhurst's lead to five with 1:46 left in the game. The Hawks were able to hit some late free throws to take the nine-point win.
Prior to that, Truman went into the half down 13, with Rockhurst leading 34-21.
Truman had a difficult time shooting the ball, going 13-46 (28.3%) from the field and 3-23 (13%) from three. The Bulldogs went 15-19 from the free throw line.
Alex Fanning was Truman's lone double-digit scorer, dropping 10 on 3-7 shooting. She grabbed four rebounds as well.
Hannah Belanger scored nine, Claire Rake had 8, and Gracie Stugart score seven with eight rebounds.
Truman State plays their final regular season game at William Jewell on Saturday, February 25th.
