Bulldogs Close Out Road Trip With Pair of Draws

Rolla, Mo. / Jefferson City, Mo. – The Truman State Women's Soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to three matches over the weekend, earning a pair of hard-fought draws on the road against Missouri S&T and Lincoln. The Bulldogs battled the Miners to a scoreless tie on Friday before playing to another 0-0 finish against the Blue Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Friday – Truman State 0, Missouri S&T 0

Truman opened the weekend in Rolla and weathered an early push from the Miners, who outshot the Bulldogs 18-10 on the night. Goalkeeper Siman Loethen was sharp once again, turning away four shots to record her first shutout of the season.

After Missouri S&T pressed in the first half with 10 shots, Truman flipped momentum coming out of halftime. The Bulldogs generated seven shots and three corner kicks in the final 45 minutes, with quality looks from Hanna Ritter, Avery Bohnenstiehl, and Madison Blomenkamp testing the Miner defense.

Defenders Ella McCleary, Samantha Larkins, and Greta Hanson anchored a steady back line that limited S&T's late chances to secure the scoreless draw.

Sunday – Truman State 0, Lincoln 0

Truman closed the weekend with another dominant performance in possession and attack, but despite a 15-3 edge in total shots and an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal, the Bulldogs couldn't break through in a 0-0 draw against Lincoln in Jefferson City.

Forward Quinn Nauman was relentless up front, firing a match-high seven shots, including five on target, while Bohnenstiehl, Blomenkamp, and Julia Behounek also registered dangerous attempts.

The Bulldogs controlled tempo throughout, creating six corner kicks and keeping the Blue Tigers pinned in their defensive third for much of the match. Loethen earned her second clean sheet of the weekend with two saves, while the Truman defense limited Lincoln to just three total shots.
