Truman State exploded offensively in Jefferson City, racking up more than 550 yards of total offense to cruise past Lincoln, 59–26, on Saturday afternoon at Dwight T. Reed Stadium. The Bulldogs scored in every quarter, including a 28-point second frame that broke the game wide open, and improved to 6–3 overall and 5–1 in GLVC play.
After a quiet opening few possessions, Diego Perez gave Truman an early 3–0 lead with a 31-yard field goal midway through the first quarter. The Bulldogs began to find their rhythm in the second, starting with Elijah Stevens' nine-yard touchdown run to make it 10–0. On Truman's next drive, quarterback Dylan Hair found Gerard Grewe on a 26-yard strike to extend the lead to 17–0.
The Bulldogs' offense continued to roll late in the half. Hair connected deep with Jalen Kent for a 39-yard touchdown to push the margin to 24–0, before Lincoln briefly answered with a 43-yard touchdown run from Jareese Howard. Truman responded immediately with a five-play, 67-yard drive capped by Denim Cook's three-yard touchdown, sending the Bulldogs into halftime ahead 31–7.
Lincoln struck first after the break, trimming the deficit to 31–13 early in the third, but the Bulldogs answered in lightning fashion. On the second play of the next drive, Cook burst through a hole and sprinted 64 yards for a touchdown to restore momentum. Lincoln added a short touchdown early in the fourth, but Truman's offense kept firing — Stevens powered in from 15 yards out, and Hair hit Grewe again on a three-yard score moments later to make it 52–26.
Freshman Tim Johnson capped the scoring with a two-yard touchdown run in the final minutes, sealing the Bulldogs' most dominant offensive performance of the season. Truman averaged an impressive 8.6 yards per play, scored on eight of its 11 possessions, and outgained the Blue Tigers 556–355.
