Truman
2012: Had four sacks, six tackles for loss and 33 total stops in 11 games…notched a season-best nine tackles with three for loss against Missouri Southern on Nov. 3…had two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery…also a thrower on Truman’s Track & Field team…placed eighth in the shot put and 15th in the Hammer at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
2011: Notched 19 tackles, including four for loss and a sack in 11 games…had a season-high four stops on two occasions; against Fort Hays State on Sept. 10 and Missouri Southern on Oct. 15…lone sack came against Harlon Hill finalist Dane Simoneau for 10 yards.
2010 - Appeared in six games, totaling 12 tackles (six unassisted) … had four tackles, two for a loss, and a sack at ESU on Oct. 23 … recorded a quarterback hurry a week later against WU on Oct. 30 … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2009 - Redshirt
High School: Recorded 169 career tackles with two sacks and four pass deflections...named first team Illinois All-State 4A?as an defensive end and offensive tackle...was named to numerous all-conference, all-district and media teams...named to academic all-state squad...was an all-state performer on the school’s track & field team...son of Dave and Sharon Smith.
