Truman
2012: Completed 192 of his 365 passes during first season as full-time starter…threw for 2103 yards and 12 touchdowns…had a season-best 384 yards passing against Fort Hays (Kan.) State on Sept. 29…his 383 yards of total offense that game against the Tigers was the 10th best single-game performance in Truman history…had a 66-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Grier in a 16-7 victory against Nebraska-Kearney on Oct. 6…tossed four touchdown passes on Sept. 15 against Northwestern Oklahoma State…averaged 191.2 yards passing per game… member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2011: Saw action in seven games, making one start against Lincoln on Nov. 5…completed 26-of-60 passes with three touchdowns and 347 yards…had 13 rushes for 39 yards and a touchdown…threw for 182 yards had all three TD passes against Lincoln on Nov. 5 while going 9-of-12 on the day…longest completed pass was 46 yards also against the Blue Tigers…a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2010 - Saw action in seven games under center … went 13-for-36 through the air for 125 total yards … threw for a season-best 36 yards at ESU on Oct. 23 … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2009 - Redshirt
High School: Two-year starter…earned first-team all-conference and first-team all-district as a senior…threw for school record of 1,987 yards in his senior year…holds school records for passing yards in career (3,630), pass completions (138), and completion percentage (59%)…won back to back district championships and was a class 4 state semi-finalist…a two-year starter on the basketball team…son of Philip and Kristi Schottel.
