Biography

2016 (Junior): Made 62 tackles in 11 games (5.6/game) with a pair of interceptions…had a 97 yard INT return at the end of the first half against Missouri S&T (Sept. 17)…had a second interception for 44 yards against Quincy (Oct. 29)…the 141 INT return yards is third most in Truman single season…had a high of nine tackles in game against Quincy and had two of his 3.5 tackles for loss against William Jewell (Oct. 22).

2015 (Sophomore): Averaged 4.1 tackles per game (46 in 11 games)…had 10 games with 10 or more tackles, 10 (five solo and five assisted) against Lincoln on September 26 and 11 (six solo and five assisted) against Saint Joseph’s on November 7…in that game had three tackles for loss for four yards…had one interception in season finale against McKendree on November 14…of the 46 tackles, 22 came on running plays and 23 came on pass plays…had two kick returns for 22 yards with a long of 13 against Missouri S&T on September 19…named to the GLVC All-Academic team.

2014 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in all 10 games and notched 29 total tackles…had a pair of interceptions and 19 total yards on returns against Lincoln on September 27…added a fumble recovery for eight yards and had a season high eight tackles against McKendree on October 4...earned GLVC Academic All-Conference.

High School: A four-year starter for Coach Par Pitts at Troy Buchanan High School…was a three-time first team all-conference choice and earned second team all-district honors for the Trojans in Missouri’s Class 6…earned all-conference and all-district honors playing basketball and finishing runner-up in the 2011 Class 5 basketball championships…a member of the baseball and golf teams.
