Biography

Truman:
2012: Was third on the team with 30 receptions in 11 games…had 272 yards receiving with a season-high of 64 on seven catches against Emporia (Kan.) State…lone touchdown reception was a 12-yard pass in the second quarter that put the Bulldogs up 10-7 in a victory against Nebraska-Kearney on Oct. 6…recorded six rushes for 19 yards and added three kick returns for 42 yards… member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Previous School:
Nagel transferred to Truman after three years at Northwestern (Ill.) University and BCS level football. In 2010 he recorded a tackle against Central Michigan and had a six yard reception against Rice while appearing in one game against in 2009. Nagel redshirted in 2008 but was named the team’s offensive practice player of the week in preparations leading up to the Wildcats rivalry game against Illinois.
 
High School: Was a quarterback and defensive back for Lemont and was a three-time all-South Suburban Conference honoree as well as earning Class 6A and Champaign News-Gazette all-state accolades. As a senior, he rushed for nearly 1,500 yards and 21 touchdowns while throwing for over 700 yards. He led the Indians to their first 6A title game coming up short against Joliet Catholic. Nagel was listed as a SuperPrep All-American and Rivals.
com All-Region teams. In the classroom, he was a two-time academic all-state honoree along with being named an Illinois State Scholar and Wendy’s High School Heisman candidate.
