2013: Second-team all-GLVC…was fourth on the squad in total tackles with 69 with three for loss…ranked in the top 15 in the GLVC in tackles per game at 6.3…had a career-high 14 stops (2 solo, 12 assisted) in game against Saint Joseph’s (Ind.) on Nov. 9…added a forced fumble, recovery and a tackle for loss against the Pumas…his half-sack came in shutout win over Quincy (Ill.) on Oct. 5.
2012: Was fifth on the defense with 62 total stops in all 11 games played and started…topped nine tackles against Emporia (Kan.) State on Oct. 20…had 2.5 sacks and 5.0 tackles for loss for 29 yards…had 1.5 sacks for 13 yards in 16-7 victory over Nebraska-Kearney on Oct. 6… member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2011: Had a tackle in each of the 11 games, 45 tackles overall…had a fumble recovery in victory over Lincoln on Nov. 5…posted a season-high nine tackles against Emporia State on Oct. 29…finished with 1.5 TFLs.
2010: Redshirted … member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Nagel led both his team and conference in tackles in both his junior and senior seasons to earn honorable mention all-state honors. He had 105 tackles with 27 solo, seven sacks and three fumble recoveries as a senior and 137 with 54 solo and three sacks as a junior. He was a key member of the Indians squad that finished second in Class 6A in 2007 and 2008 and was 10-2 in 2009. Over the past three years, Lemont has posted a record of 34-6. Nagel is a two-time all-conference (South Suburban) selection and has been named to all-area teams by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times and Southtown Star. Nagel was a member and starter of the school’s wrestling team.
