Biography

2014 (Sophomore): Started eight of nine games at quarterback…completed 110 of 178 passes (61.8%) for 1,092 yards and eight touchdowns…had single-game highs of 21 receptions for 216 yards in victory over Lincoln on September 27…longest pass was a 39 yard strike to Garrett White against McKendree on October4 … rushed for 273 yards on 86 attempts (3.2/rush)…longest run was 28 yards against Langston and had a single-game high of 80 yards in that contest…most rushes were 16 against William Jewell and most pass attempts were 32 in overtime loss at Drake on September 6.


2013 (Redshirt Freshman): Took snaps at quarterback in five games, completing nine of 15 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 80 yards on 21 attempts…had a long rush of 24 and longest completion of 26 yards against William Jewell (Mo.) on Oct. 12…tossed his first career touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter to Garrett White (14-yard strike) in the Bulldogs rally to defeat William Penn 24-23 on Sept. 21.

2012 (Freshman): Redshirt Season

High School: Black was a dual threat quarterback with over 3,700 yards passing and 700 yards rushing and a total of 42 touchdowns his past two seasons as a starter. He has earned all-state honorable mention as well as being a two-time all-conference pick. He was named the team’s most valuable player in both his junior and senior seasons and was one of the team’s captains.
