Biography

Before Truman:
Smith earned Academic All-State recognition in football as a junior and senior after receiving academic all-conference honors in football and basketball earlier in his prep career. As a senior, he was also named to the Central Missouri All-Media Team and earned all-region, all-district and Media All-District honors. He recorded 50 tackles, six sacks, seven tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in his final season and also earned all-district recognition in basketball.
