Biography

2016 (Junior): Second team all-GLVC honors…second on the team in total tackles with 66 and had season-high 10 against Quincy (Oct. 29)…was second with 11 tackles for loss totaling 50 yards with 2.5 sacks…had three TFLs in victory over Malone (Sept. 10)…added a blocked kick against Midwestern State (Sept. 3) and a fumble recovery against Missouri S&T (Sept. 17).

2015 (Sophomore): Backed up his freshman season by earning second-team All-GLVC honors…had two interception returns for touchdowns, a 31-yarder against St. Francis on October 17 that gave the Bulldogs a 24-20 lead and pulled Truman back from a 20-0 deficit…his second pick-six was a 38-yard return against Quincy on October 31 that put Truman up 16-6 in the third quarter…was fourth on the team with 57 total tackles and led the team with five pass breakups…averaged 5.1 tackles per game with a high of eight against St. Francis…had six tackles for loss for 25 yards and a half sack.

2014 (Freshman): Played and started in all 10 games as a true freshman…recorded a single-game high 15 tackles, 11 solo in victory over McKendree on October 4…the 15 stops matched Luke Lamar for team single-game high honors for the season…finished with 47 total stops with 4.5 tackles for loss for 12 yards…had a fumble recovery against Southwest Baptist on November 1 and notched his first collegiate interception against Missouri S&T on September 20 with a 20 yard return…had six pass breakups.

High School: A member of the Pioneers’ 2012 Missouri State championship team and played on both sides of the ball his senior season as Kirkwood posted a 9-2 overall record…had 23 rushes for 82 yards and three scores and three receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown…defensively, had 30 tackles with four for loss and two fumble recoveries…a two-time all-conference selection and earned all-district accolades following senior season…a two-year starter and three-year letterwinner on the Pioneers’ basketball team.
