Biography

2016 (Sophomore): The linebacker had stops in all 11 games and finished with 28…had six tackles in consecutive games against Missouri S&T (Sept. 17) and Lincoln (Sept. 24)…had 2.5 tackles for loss that amounted to three…returned as a member of the Academic All-GLVC team. 

2015 (Redshirt Freshman): Was second on the defense in tackles with 74 and was tied for most special team tackles with nine, all on kickoffs…had two games with 10 stops, the season opener at Midwestern State (Sept. 5) and against Saint Joseph’s (Nov. 7)…finished with 3.5 tackles for loss totaling eight yards…had one fumble forced and two fumble recoveries…the fumble recoveries came in the first two games of the season…averaged 6.7 tackles per game…earned Academic All-GLVC accolades.

2014 (Freshman): Redshirt season…earned GLVC Academic All-Conference honors.

High School: Recorded 144 tackles, including 24 for loss as the Wildcats finished 11-1 in Class 4 District 30…he set a school record with 23 tackles in a single game and finished his career with 39 tackles for loss…a 2013 first team all-state pick as a linebacker and was an all-south Texas defensive most valuable player…as a junior, earned first team all-district and second team all-south Texas mentions while being named to the honorable mention all-state team by Texas Sportswriters…served as National Honor Society President.
