High School: Hammond was the Clarence Cannon Conference offensive player of the year and a first team all-state running back after averaging over 200 yards per game as a senior back. He was the KHQA Defensive Player of the year and named a KRES all-star. On the track, his 4x400 meter relay team advanced to state in his junior year and holds the school record. Hammond has been a member of the school’s honor roll.
