Bayless tossed for over 1,800 yards his senior season with 23 touchdowns. He added 182 yards rushing and four scores on 80 attempts as the Mustangs went 8-3. Bayelss set a new school mark with a 68% career passing percentage. He threw for 310 yards and five TDs in a victory over Parkway South on October 7, he had four touchdown passes against Hazelwood West on September 2. Bayless was named first-team all-Suburban West Conference as well as all-District. He is a member of the National Honor Society, an Academic All-State honoree and achieved the Gold Athlete Award honoring achievement of over a 4.0 grade-point average.
