Biography
2014 (Sophomore): Had three catches for a total of seven yards in 10 games played…had two catches but a -2 yards receiving against Langston on September 13…longest reception was for nine yards against Lincoln on September 27…had one rush for two yards at McKendree on October 4.
2013 (Redshirt Freshman): Was called upon in three games with a special teams tackle against William Penn on Sept. 21…also saw action against Quincy (Ill.) and Kentucky Wesleyan (Nov. 2)
2012 (Freshman): Redshirt Season
High School: Jones was a triple threat on the offensive side of the ball as had 16 catches for 231 yards, 27 passes for another 276 yards and 22 rush attempts for 135 yards for a total of nine touchdowns his senior season. He was named first team all-conference in both his junior and senior season while also being named all-conference on the defensive side of the ball as a senior. Jones was an honorable mention all-area pick. He was a three-year starter and letterwinner as well as being a member of the school’s track and field team.
