Miller was a three-year starter and letterwinner at Boone High School and was voted Team Captain his senior season. He had 56 career tackles with 24 coming his senior season with seven for loss. He earned all-District honors in both his senior and junior seasons, first as a defensive lineman and second as an offensive lineman. Miller has earned Academic Team All-District and Scholastic Honor Society accolades.
