High School: Gottman was a four-year player and started the last two at Northwest and was a 2016 Team Captain. He was named a first-team all-Suburban West Conference offensive lineman in 2016 and a second-team honoree in 2015. As a powerlifter, Gottman placed sixth at the 2016 state meet in the 250-pound weight class and was second in the deadlift at 555 pounds. He was 12th in the 2015 state meet. Gottman is a four-year Academic letter winner.
