Biography
2014 (Junior): Took snaps at QB in seven games and made starts against Indianapolis and Saint Joseph’s…completed 49-of-91 (53.8%) for 462 yards with touchdown passes of 63 yards against Quincy and 23 yards to William Jewell…gained 72 yards on the ground on 28 carries and a long of 17 against Saint Joseph’s…against Quincy, connected on 15-of-19 pass attempts for a season high 160 yards.
2013 (Sophomore): Completed nine of 17 passes for 95 yards in four games played…was 8-of-11 for 79 yards against William Penn (Iowa) on Sept. 21 in bulk of action…had 16 rushes with a long of 14 against William Jewell (Mo.) for a total of 46 yards on the season.
2012 (Redshirt Freshman): Completed passes in two games and added one rush for six yards…was 1-for-1 for eight yards against Lincoln and 1-for-1 for three yards against Northwestern Oklahoma State, both Truman wins.
2011 (Freshman): Redshirted
High School: Tobin was selected as the large school’s player of the year by the Alton Telegraph after leading Civic Memorial to their first Mississippi Valley Conference title since 2001 and first outright championship since 1995. Tobin threw for nearly 2,700 yards his senior season going 216-of-319 with 31 touchdown passes to nine interceptions. For his career, Tobin was a four-year starter and passed for 5,904 yards with 59 touchdown passes for the Eagles and Coach Rick Reinhart.
