Aidan Bilbao is a Graduate Assistant for the Truman State University men’s soccer program, where he supports all aspects of the Bulldogs’ on- and off-field operations while pursuing his master’s degree. In his role, Bilbao assists with player development, training session design, film analysis, scouting, recruiting, and program administration.
Bilbao joined the Truman men’s soccer staff in fall 2024 after previously serving as a student assistant with the program from 2022 through 2024. During that time, he contributed extensively to daily practice operations, video breakdown, recruiting support, social media, and budgeting, helping the Bulldogs earn a berth in the GLVC Conference Tournament.
As a graduate assistant, Bilbao works closely with the head coach to plan and execute structured training sessions, emphasizing tactical awareness, technical development, and match preparation. He also leads film analysis and individual player meetings, providing targeted feedback to support measurable growth in player performance and soccer IQ.
In addition to his work at Truman, Bilbao brings experience from a variety of soccer development and coaching environments. He has served as a camp coach at St. Louis University Men’s Soccer Camps, working with youth and high school athletes while introducing prospects to the collegiate recruiting process. He has also worked as a personal trainer with TOCA Football and Evolution Soccer Training, designing individualized training programs focused on technical skill development, strength, conditioning, and confidence-building.
Bilbao’s professional experience also includes an internship with the Chicago Red Stars, where he served as Technical Director of Camps and Clinics Intern. In that role, he helped develop curriculum and oversee programming designed to enhance players’ physical, technical, tactical, cognitive, and social development in a safe and engaging environment.
A strong advocate for leadership and team culture, Bilbao has organized and led team-building initiatives and leadership development activities, including structured discussions and competitive challenges designed to promote accountability, communication, and mental toughness. He previously served on Truman State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and held leadership positions within campus organizations.
A native of Springfield, Missouri, Bilbao earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Truman State University in 2024, with a concentration in Sport and Recreation Management. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership, with an expected completion in spring 2026.
