Freshman Season (2009): Saw action in 79 sets and 29 matches as a redshirt freshman, logging 154 digs (1.95/set) … had a season-high 27 digs against Fort Hays State on Oct. 24, marking one of five matches with 10+ digs on the year … was credited with one kill against Angelo State on Oct. 2 at the Washburn Crossover … had five service aces (one in five different matches), all coming against nonconference foes … led the team in digs four times and in aces twice. 2008: Tassia redshirted the 2008 season. 

High School: An all-state honorable mention selection and a first-team all-conference selection in 2007 ... helped team win the Badger North conference in both 2006 and 2007 ... was the first defensive specialist to be named all-state as a senior ... played soccer for four years. 

Personal: Born June 22, 1990, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada ... the daughter of Penny and Mike Hegyi ... an English/Pre-MAE major.
