Stuart Whitmer

Former Truman State goalkeeper Stuart Whitmer transitions from student-athlete to the Bulldogs' coaching staff in Fall 2026, serving as the program's Graduate Assistant and Assistant Men's Soccer Coach. Whitmer will work primarily with the Bulldogs' goalkeepers while also assisting with recruiting efforts and overall player development.

A member of the Truman State men's soccer program throughout his collegiate career, Whitmer brings firsthand knowledge of the team's culture, expectations, and daily operations. His experience as a goalkeeper provides a valuable perspective as he works to develop the next generation of Bulldog netminders.

During the 2025 season, Whitmer appeared in three matches and made one start, totaling 149 minutes in goal. He recorded nine saves and posted a .643 save percentage. His top performance came against Missouri S&T, where he made five saves in a complete 90-minute effort. Throughout his playing career, Whitmer was a dedicated member of the Bulldogs' goalkeeping unit and contributed important depth and leadership to the program.

Whitmer begins his coaching career with Truman State eager to mentor student-athletes and help the Bulldogs continue their success on and off the field.
