JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Truman women's basketball squad snapped a four-game losing streak after Nicole Gloor and Becka McHenry led the Bulldogs with 24 points apiece Saturday afternoon en route to a 70-48 victory over Lincoln University.

Both women broke their career highs in points in Saturday's contest. McHenry's previous high of 22 was set earlier this season against Missouri Southern and Gloor's previous high of 22 was set against Pittsburg State, also earlier this season.

The Bulldogs (9-5, 4-5 MIAA) outrebounded the Blue Tigers (10-5, 4-5 MIAA) 57-38 in the match-up, including 20 offensive boards to Lincoln's 11. Gloor added 12 rebounds to her career afternoon, rewarding her with her first double-double of her career. McHenry was one rebound shy of her first double-double since Feb. 17th, 2010.

Lincoln hung with the Bulldogs for the first five minutes of the game, forcing three ties before a five point run by the 'Dogs. Truman never turned back, leading by as many as 15 in the first half before going into halftime with a 33-20 lead.

A layup by Jennifer Conway in the first minute of the second half allowed the 'Dogs to get off to a strong second half start. The Blue Tigers were able to come within 12 early in the half, but a seven point run led by Gloor and a tough defense that held Lincoln's leading scorer, Vivian Essuon, to only eight points gave Truman the overall edge.

Truman garnered 34 points in the paint to Lincoln's 14 and 20 second chance points in the contest. Allie Norton was the 'Dogs third leading scorer with eight points and two from beyond the arc. Conway contributed six points and Rachel Remick added five.

Freddie Sims led the Lady Blue Tigers with 15 points and Essuon was able to grab 12 total rebounds.

The Bulldogs will host the University of Central Missouri at home this upcoming Wednesday for a tip time of 5:30 p.m.
