KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Five Bulldogs scored in double figures and Truman shot 56% from the field in a 103-62 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange in the season opener on Friday night at Pershing Arena.
 
Redshirt freshman Mckenzie Russell led the Bulldogs with 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Russell added four rebounds and a pair of steals playing 16 minutes off the bench.
 
Freshman Kennedy Martin also scored in double figures in her Truman debut. She tallied 11 points, knocking down a pair of triples in 12 minutes.
 
Starters Courtney Strait and Michalina Tomczak each had 13 points andAllie Norton chipped in 11, with three three-pointers.
 
Truman raced out to a 50-27 halftime lead and made 10 three-pointers for the game.
 
Ashleigh Hurd-Spencer led all scorers with 26 points for the Trojans and Morgan Winkler added 16.
 
The Bulldogs will travel to Nashville, Tennessee for the Pops Duncan Classic and will face host Trevecca Nazarene on Friday at 5:30 p.m. then square off against Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday at noon.
