NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Courtney Strait scored 22 points and Allison Wiese added 11 with nine rebounds in the Bulldogs 64-49 victory to complete over Kentucky Wesleyan for the "Music City Sweep" on Saturday.

Truman's three-point halftime advantage was trimmed to just one in the early goings of the second half and the Panthers had a pair of chances to take the lead before Allie Norton knocked down her only three-pointer of the day off an assist from Rachel Steinhoff.

KWC got a basket back and had two more chances to tie or take the lead before Steinhoff made a steal and Strait delivered a three-pointer to start an 11-2 run for the Bulldogs. Strait scored eight points during the run and Wiese added the exclamation point with a three-pointer to give Truman their first double-digit lead at 44-33 with under 13 minutes left to play.

A 5-0 spurt by the Panthers got the margin to within six with seven minutes to play but the freshman Steinhoff scored on two straight Truman possessions and the Bulldogs then methodically pulled away for the victory.

The Bulldogs dominated the glass with a 44-29 advantage and had 15 offensive rebounds leading to 10 second-chance points.

Strait was 5-of-16 from the field with two triples and 10-of-11 at the foul line. She added six rebounds and two assists. Wiese nearly notched her first career double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds, making five of eight shots from the field.

Truman shot 36% from the field and was 4-of-18 from outside.

The Panthers were led by Jennifer Walker-Crawford's 15 points and Erin Dorn's 12.
The Bulldogs defeated both teams that were in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship game from last season by double-digits after their 18-point win over Trevecca Nazarene on Friday night and 15-point triumph over Kentucky Wesleyan.

A tough week begins for the Bulldogs on Wednesday with a home date against preseason nationally-ranked Pittsburg (Kan.) State at home. The Gorillas were 24th in the first poll of the year and will visit Pershing Arena for a 5:00 p.m. tip. The week gets even more tougher as Truman will then face the preseason number one team, West Texas A&M as part of the Lady Buff Classic in Canyon, Texas next Friday.
