KIRKSVILLE, Mo.  – The 10th ranked Pittsburg (Kan.) State Gorillas scored the game's first 10 points and the Truman Bulldogs were on the wrong side of a one-sided affair on Wednesday night, falling 102-45. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back against #8 West Texas A&M on Friday in Canyon, Texas.
 
Lizzy Jeronimus scored a game-high 23 points including four of the first 10 points of the contest as the Gorillas raced out to the big lead.
 
Allie Norton tried to spark the 'Dogs with seven straight points for Truman and trimmed the lead to 16-9 but a 16-1 run over a six minute span put the game quickly out of reach.
 
The Bulldogs had one field goal in the final 10:15 seconds of the game.
 
Norton led all Truman scorers with 10 points as Truman shot 26% from the floor while committing 22 turnovers to the Gorillas' eight.
 
Jeronimus led six Gorillas in double figures with her 23 as Pittsburg State shot a blistering 59% from the field and made six of 14 from outside and all 12 free throw attempts.
 
The Bulldogs will travel to the Lady Buff Classic in Canyon, Texas on Friday and Saturday. They will play the host West Texas A&M on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Cameron (Okla.) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
