Game Preview:
After completing their "Music City Sweep" the Truman women will look to knock off a pair of ranked opponents, including the preseason number one team in Division II as the Bulldogs play three times during this holiday week.

For the fourth straight season, Truman has started the year 3-0 after non-conference wins over Hannibal LaGrange (103-63), Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) (80-62) and Kentucky Wesleyan (64-49). The last two came as part of the Pops Duncan Classic in Nashville last weekend.

The Bulldogs knocked off both participants in last season's GMAC championship game. Allie Norton scored 22 points in the victory over the Trojans while Courtney Strait led all scorers with 22 in defeated the Panthers. Truman dominated the glass over the weekend with 16 more than Trevecca and 15 better than Kentucky Wesleyan.

Strait leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game with Norton averaging 13.7 in the three Truman wins thus far.

The week will start with a home game on Wednesday night against #24 Pittsburg (Kan.) State University at 5:00 p.m. The Gorillas have won all five games to start the season, four by double-digits. They clobbered William Jewell 89-51 last Saturday after an 81-50 win over Minnesota-Duluth on Friday.

Lizzy Jeronimus leads three Gorillas in double-figure scoring at 18.6 points per game. She is joined by Cathy Brugman (14.2) and Kylie Gafford (13.8).

A three-pointer by Alexa Bordwick tied things at the buzzer and the Gorillas used that momentum for a 75-66 overtime win.  Seniors Nicole Gloor (18) and Amy Briggs (13) led Truman while Jeronimus scored 24 points.

Following the game, the Bulldogs will hop on the bus for Canyon, Texas and the preseason number one team in Division II.  The Lady Buffs promptly lost the first game out of the gate, a 77-73 home loss to Texas-Permian Basin but have won the last two leading up to Friday's encounter. They defeated New Mexico Highlands 84-73 and Adams State 75-46. West Texas was 32-3 last year and lost to Bentley 73-65 in the national championship game.

Chontiquah White leads the Lady Buffs in scoring with a 17.7 points per game average.

On Saturday, Truman will play Cameron (Okla.) to round out the Lady Buff Classic. The Aggies enter the week 0-3 with games against East Central (Okla.) and Harding (Ark.) prior to the match-up with Truman. Cameron was 13-14 last season.
