KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - All 12 Truman men's basketball players that took the court on Saturday night found the scoring column, as the Bulldogs built a 59-11 halftime lead and cruised to a 97-41 victory against Central Christian (Mo.) College in Pershing Arena. The Bulldogs were led by five players in double-figures, including a combined 30 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds from Cole Myers and Cory Myers.
 
Truman (6-2) never trailed and needed just 22 seconds to give the team its final lead of the night, as the Bulldogs shot 66.7% from the floor and hit 14 three-pointers to deal CCCB (3-8) a 56-point defeat. Truman's starters accounted for just 44 of the team's 97 points, as the Bulldog bench out-scored the limited Saint bench by a 53-0 total.
 
Cory Myers earned a start and scored 16 points while adding five assists in 18 minutes of work. Meanwhile, his twin brother, Cole Myers, went for nearly a double-double off the bench in the first half alone, as he finished the night with 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in 16 minutes. Andrew Vander Zwaag started and matched Myers' 14 points, while both Connor Lusso and Connor Erickson chipped in 10 points apiece off the bench.
 
Truman hit 36-of-54 of its shots (66.7%) from the floor – the highest single-game field goal percentage in the GLVC this season – while converting on 14-of-24 three-pointers at a 58.3% rate. The Bulldogs tallied 25 assists and committed just six turnovers, while Central Christian finished with nine assists to 12 turnovers.
 
The Bulldogs return to action on Monday night, as the purple and white play host to Faith Baptist (Iowa). Tipoff from Pershing Arena is set for 7 p.m. and can be watched live on the GLVC Sports Network at TrumanBulldogs.com/watch or heard on 99.9 FM KIRK (CentralMoInfo.com).
