CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - - Evyn Spencer was part of three B-cut performances on night two of the Great Lakes Valley Conference swimming championships on Thursday, as the Truman men sit second and the Truman men sit sixth at the halfway point of competition.
 
Spencer finished with Truman's highest individual finish of the night, taking home second place in the
GLVCSwim2_Night2
200 IM with nationally-contending B-cut time of 2:03.27.  Then, she swam the first leg as part of Truman's 200 Free Relay squad that also picked up a second place finish to close the night, as the four-player group of Spencer, Alison Strickler, Casey Jepsen, and Bailey Peterson touched home in 1:34.90 – marking a season-best B-cut time. Spencer swam the first leg in 23.91, marking her third B-cut time of the night in the 50 Free.
 
Also securing B-cut performances on the evening were Abby Hempen, who finished sixth in the 200 IM with a mark of 2:06.72, and Peterson, who took home fourth place in the 50 Free race with a time of 24.21. Her top B-cut time of the day came in the morning prelims, when she swam a 24.10.
 
The Bulldog women landed three top-15 finishes in the 500 Free, with Brynn Guardado (5:07.35) taking ninth place, Taylor Voelker (5:10.85) taking 11th place, and Meghan Senne (5:15.73) finishing in 15th place.
 
Spencer and Hempen highlighted a flurry of Bulldogs in the 200 IM, as Hannah Nicks (2:08.42),,  Margaux Kent (2:09.49), and Ashley Shanel (2:09.67)  took home 9th, 10th, and 11th, respectively, while Kristi Van Oost (2:11.15) finished in 14th place.

Peterson then headlined three finalists in the 50 Free, as she was joined by Strickler's 11th place finish (24.37) and Jepsen's 13th-place mark of 24.55.
 
On the men's side, Alec Morgan (500 Free, 15th; 4:44.61), Tim Senholtz, 200 IM; 14th, 1:54.99), and Neil Girmus (50 Free; 14th, 21.24) earned individual points for the Bulldogs. Truman's four-man grouping of Girmus, Matt Phillips, George Dowdy and Etienne Thro took home fifth in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:25.54.
 
Saturday morning's preliminary session begins at 10 a.m. Central, with the night three finals set to begin at 6 p.m. Drury has the lead both in the men's and women's team events.
