KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman State swimming teams celebrated Senior Day while hosting William Jewell on Friday, January 10, with the women's squad finishing in a tie at 102-102 while the men fell 121.5-83.5 at the Truman Natatorium.
Women's Highlights
The Bulldog women showcased their depth throughout the competition, claiming victory in several key events. Jahmia Harley led the way in the pool, capturing first place in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 56.61 seconds, helping Truman also secure victory in the opening 200 Medley Relay (1:46.07).
Taylor Graham was a standout performer in the distance events, sweeping both the 1000 Freestyle (10:39.81) and 500 Freestyle (5:12.37). Marianne Dean added a crucial victory in the 200 Freestyle, touching the wall in 1:56.96.
Chloe Myers rounded out the individual wins with a commanding performance in the 100 Breaststroke, finishing in 1:05.72.
The women demonstrated excellent depth with multiple swimmers placing in scoring positions, including strong performances from Maddie Lynch, Lucy Hough, Luca Dessau, and Layla Walker.
Men's Highlights
The Bulldog men picked up several impressive victories despite the team score. Dennis Bobiv touched first in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 21.42 seconds, while Jacob Wolf earned a victory in the 100 Backstroke (49.98).
Dawson Behl continued his strong season with a win in the 100 Butterfly, clocking 51.06. Truman's relay teams also performed well, with the A squad capturing victories in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:32.98) and 400 Freestyle Relay (3:06.50).
Colin Wolfmeyer and Cameron Lee contributed multiple top finishes across their events, while distance swimmers Eli Springvloed and Wade LaValle placed in scoring positions in the freestyle events.
